We now stock a wide range of wheel speed sensors. A wheel speed sensor is the most common failure in the ABS system. The reason your engine management and traction control light are also on is because those systems "borrow" wheel speed information from the ABS system. The reason the fail so often is because they live in a hostile environment. They hang out there inside the wheel well and have to make every movement that the wheel does, up and down and left and right. They get wet in the rain and frozen in the snow and they are exposed to all of the road dirt as well. So it’s easy to understand why the wheel speed sensor doesn’t last the lifetime of the car
Fuel injectors are small electrical components that are used to deliver fuel via a spray directly into the intake manifold in front of the intake valve in a diesel engine. Diesel fuel injectors are quite complicated; the injector has a high micron filter on the top inlet side which corresponds to small hypodermic sized holes on the bottom for the atomizing of the diesel fuel. The diesel fuel acts as a lubricating source for the injector’s internal parts. The main source of failure for injectors is water in the fuel. When water in the fuel displaces the lubricating properties the internal parts wear down quickly and the injector as a whole can fail rather quickly.
A boost pressure sensor is a part of a turbocharged engine which measures and regulates the air pressure in the intake manifold and controls the boost level of the supercharged engine. A BPS monitors the speed and airflow pressure in the intake manifold and ensures that the engine remains at its optimum level and is receiving the ideal air and fuel supply.
A turbocharged engine without a boost pressure sensor will generate enough power that it will get damaged due to a high temperature.
The boost pressure sensor can be found inside the intake pipe near the throttle valve.
